Reviewing Glycine Supplement – ‘How Is This Legal?’

In a previous article I spoke about the importance of sleep.

In this blog, I will be discovering what happened when I started to alter my sleeping routine, with some supplementation I had been recommended called ‘Glycine’.

AKA Dreaming up a madness

You may have not even recognised the word itself – Glycine.

I was listening to a podcast by a guy called SolBrah and it sounded really interesting.

After doing some of my own research I parted with £13 and ordered some online.

The first night I opened up the container and was surprised to see that the actual capsule looked like a missile.

They are bigger than yo momma. Wham.

The first night I supplemented, it was about 21:30pm, but by 22:00pm I was yawning my ass off watching the Chicago Bulls documentary (The Last Dance).

The documentary was so good I refused to fall asleep and fought it for another half an hour until the episode was over.

Now. I’m asleep.

Not the best bedtime ritual and during lockdown I’ve sometimes struggled to get to sleep myself because of doing shit like that.

I am surfing on clouds right now ☁️ 🏄‍♂️

I am a dreamer anyway but these dreams are WILD.

One minute I am fighting drug dealers like some action film, the next I’m driving through mountains looking at amazing scenery.

The weirdest part was I was answering questions I had been asking myself all day in my dream in full dialogue.

The mental clarity I had got is beyond anything I have ever experienced.

I have been taking them for almost a week and I’m genuinely excited to go to sleep now.

The first thing I thought was ‘How is this legal?’

You would assume this was disturbing my sleep, but I am actually having the best nights sleep I have had in years.

I am sleeping through the night, easily 8 hours and sometimes more.

In a previous post I explained that 8 hours sleep is the minimum you should be aiming for to function optimally.

What Is Glycine?

“Glycine: An amino acid, one of the 20 building blocks of protein. A nonessential amino acid, glycine is part of many proteins, participates in purine synthesis, and is a neurotransmitter”

Glycine is an amino acid.

It has sedative effects so sends you to sleep pretty quickly.

It can help people suffering with anxiety, liver damage and also can help protect your heart.

You can get it off EBay, Amazon, and the decent supplement websites.

But make sure you do not take too much and it is important to have it 30-60 minutes before sleep and not in the morning!

One capsule before bed will do the trick nicely and will quickly send you to another planet.

Read the label beforehand. If you are taking any other medication then speak to your GP or doctor first.

I can not recommend enough though it is actually so cool.

They are not nightmares, they are genuinely just exciting and super vivid, realistic dreams.

You’re quality of sleep will vastly improve too. Have fun riding the wave.
