If you aren’t a key worker you’re probably stuck inside wondering what the fuck to do, especially with regards to exercise.

On my daily morning walk (I hate cardio) I noticed so many people running.

I asked myself, do these people know what the benefits of running are, are they training for something or are they just copying everyone else (Pre-lockdown Covid 19 Toilet roll scenario)?

I might be wrong, I don’t really give a shit but I’m gonna guess and say most people are just running cause they don’t know what else to do.

Which is fine, because if nobody has taught you what are you supposed to do?

I’m not here to degrade anyone, I’m here to help. I know some shit about some shit. Shit being exercise in this instance.

If you are looking to burn some calories and just be active, you don’t need to puff and blow round the streets mashing up your knees dodging everyone on the daily.

3 Alternate Weight Loss Ideas

Tabata – 10 minutes of HIIT training (Choose 3 exercises do a minute of each then rest for 30 seconds then go again).

Fasted cardio – Go for a walk first thing in the morning before breakfast.

Bodyweight exercises – Press ups/Squats/Sit ups/Lunges – Choose one and do 100 reps

These are just ideas and you could actually do all of these in one day to be fair. Obviously the exercises you choose or the time you decide to walk depends on your fitness level. There’s lots of variables. But it would be impossible to be specific for everyone. The 100 reps challenge most people could complete but it might take them 20 sets of 5 reps but they could still do it, it would just take longer.

If you want more variety and exercises to complete, then just message me and I’ll give you loads of stuff to do. If you have equipment, even better. Just let me know what you’ve got and I’ll give you some tips.

I can’t emphasise enough that if you want a specific programme for yourself, there’s a lot of information required eg. Weight, body fat, muscle mass, training experience, injuries, nutrition, likes/dislikes, sleep patterns, type of work you are in, motivation etc so please don’t ask me to create a training programme without all or most of this information because I’d be doing you a disservice if I was to do so without it.

I’m going to try and post more regularly as I’m not at work and I’m getting good at Fifa again, which worries me that I’m not doing enough productive stuff. So yeah hopefully I won’t do two posts then disappear again but I might do cause I get bored of shit quickly.
